Good luck Chuck

And the Chuck Swirsky era of Toronto sports comes to a close.

As of August 1st, Chuck is the radio voice of the Chicago Bulls. I think if he was going to leave, this was a good move to make. I always thought Chuck's style was much more suited to being on the radio. The job of a TV announcer is to help you understand what you're seeing. The radio man's job is to describe and convey the excitement of what he's seeing. Chuck was always good at the later. But I think I actually grew to appreciate Chuck's talents more by listening to his afternoon show. He was inciteful, opinionated, and knew the good questions to ask his guests. He didn't mind taking on callers, and he loved offbeat topics. More importantly, he was happy to be here. He loved this city and the city returned the favour. He became a Canadian citizen earlier this year, before what ever happened happened. We'll all miss you Chuck. Good luck out there. Matt Devlin, it's batter up.
