Texting laws: Coming soon to a metropolis near you

I won't even pretend to hide the sneaky self-satisfaction I feel upon reading stories like this one. Of course it's less funny when one of you dolts actually kills someone. Is life really so short that you people can't hold your texting impulses until you're done walking or driving around the city?
